Under The Gun: L'oreal Magic Perfecting Base

Some things you should know:
This item was bought with my own money and is not sponsored in anyway. All opinions are strictly my own. All pictures of me in this post were done in 100% natural lighting.

Today's item under the gun is.... L'oreal Magic Perfecting Base!!!

This is a primer to put on your face that does the "blurring" effect. It fills in lines and gives your skin
a smoother appearance. At least... That's what the packaging says. Let's find out if it works shall we?

For this picture my face is freshly washed and is totally dry. I put the primer on the half of my face that my hand is up on. My skin did feel smoother. The primer was like a powder once you started spreading it. A little did go a long way. Sorry about my skin, it's being a bitch this week. Nail Polish in this pic is Julie G. It's sold is Rite Aid for $3.99 USD a bottle. The blue is "Kickin it". The gold is one of thier texture polishes "Golden Sunset".  On to the next step: Foundation!!

So here is a full face of foundation. I have acne prone skin which is pretty much under control the majority of the time. However, if I use foundations that are extremely thick and cake on my skin will only take so much of it before the bitch shows her claws. At this point I thought the side that had the primer on it looked much smoother. It also felt much smoother. My foundation and eye primer went on a bit better where the primer was. I do use a powder on top of a light liquid foundation. The primed side again look slightly better. I'm not talking worlds better, but I could tell a difference. So far this product is going good.

On to the real test!!!!
The rest of my face AND the rest of the day! This product does say that it helps keep your skin matte and wears all day. You can also put your moisturizer on in the morning before putting this primer on and it will help "lock in moisture". We'll see...

So here is the end of the day!

This lighting is a bit different since I'm trying to get the last bit of good sun for 100% natural lighting. This lipstick is not what I wore today and I felt like messing around. I've been on this lipstick kick lately. It's getting messy. Also decided to throw a fun little hair piece on.

Overall, this product isn't at all. It's like many other primers that are out there today that are a powdery gel. When you put them on they turn into an extremely fine powder. Hence the line filling and smoothing.

The Verdict:
I would use this product again. It did it's job all day. I did personally see a difference between the two sides of my face. I use NYX Jumbo stick in Milk as the base for my eyeshadow and that blended a bit more even on the primed side. Again, it wasn't a HUGE difference and the thing to remember is I had ZERO primer on the other side. I do stand firm in saying I would use this again.

If you want to try this product out for minimal investment check your local dollar trees! This mini size says it's a three week supply of everyday use. I'll buy that for a dollar!

As always, Thanks for stopping by to my haunted mansion. Until we meet again. May the moon shine bright on you ;)
